Powers of Aspects and Divinity ¶
The Radiant Order (Faith-Based) ¶
The Radiant Order, often referred to as the Gilded Breath of Auric, represents what most believe to be the divine structure of Thalureth.
It is not a pantheon in the traditional sense, but a contained hierarchy within the Empyrean Bulwark — a realm of restrained light that exists beyond the Mortal Grove.
At the centre of this belief are two key figures:
-
Bhuun, The Auric Sovereign
A radiant dragon believed to be the source of divine light. Once said to shine directly upon the world, Bhuun has not been heard since the Sundering. -
Serathuun, Voice of the Kindled
An interpreter of divine will, guiding followers through visions, scripture, and belief. In the absence of Bhuun’s voice, Serathuun’s influence has grown.
Worship within the Radiant Order is not based on direct communion, but on echoes — fragments of guidance, feeling, and conviction.
Faith in Practice ¶
- Clerics are nearly extinct, and those who claim direct connection are often mistrusted
- Paladins form the core of modern faith, drawing power through oath and belief rather than confirmation
- Divine magic manifests as response, not instruction
Faith is therefore an act of interpretation, not certainty.
The State of the Order ¶
Since the Sundering:
- The connection to Radiance has weakened to near silence
- Interpretations of divine will have become fragmented
- Belief has become stronger than evidence
Many still believe the Radiant Order holds back the darkness.
Others quietly question whether anything is truly listening at all.
The Primal Aspects (Natural System) ¶
Beneath all life in Thalureth exists a living system known as the Mortal Grove — a vast, interconnected structure often described as a World Tree.
This is not a domain of gods, but a functioning organism, where energy flows between life, memory, force, and change.
Its expressions are understood through four Primal Aspects. These are not beings to be worshipped, but forces to be experienced:
-
Silvar Viriditas — The First Petal
Life, growth, and reclamation. The force that pushes the world forward, regardless of what came before. -
Skjarnheim — The Inevitable
Storm, motion, and impact. A force of momentum and sudden change, often violent and uncontrolled. -
Muiren Atha — Crown of the Depths
Emotion, memory, and unseen pull. A quiet force that shapes decisions long before they are understood. -
Durnholl — He Who Remembers
Stone, endurance, and permanence. The aspect of memory made solid, where identity is carved and preserved.
Connection to the Grove ¶
Those who draw from the Primal Aspects do not worship.
They commune.
- Druids feel the Grove as a living presence
- Barbarians draw from its deeper, more volatile roots
- Monks align themselves with its internal flow
- Fighters unconsciously channel its ambient strength through discipline
Power is gained not through prayer, but through alignment.
The State of the Grove ¶
Since the Sundering:
- The Grove continues to function, but without balance
- Growth occurs alongside decay, with no clear resolution
- Certain regions feel unstable, as though the system is misfiring
